The questions players and parents ask us most often.
Who are your services for?
We work with young basketball players, boys and girls, aged 15 to 21, who dream of studying in the United States while continuing to play. Whether you are in a club, an academy or a sport-études program, we help you make it happen.
What level do I need to go?
You need a solid level of play, but you do not need to be on the French national team or playing Pro B. If you are motivated, serious and have real potential, there is a spot for you. There are hundreds of universities and divisions, each with different needs.
What exactly is an athletic scholarship?
It is financial aid offered by an American university to reward your athletic performance. It can cover part or all of your tuition, housing, meals and equipment.
Do you help players get these scholarships?
Yes — that is our specialty. We build your athletic profile, put you in contact with American coaches, send out your highlight tape, and negotiate the best possible offer.
Do I need to be fluent in English?
You do not need to be bilingual, but you do need to be able to follow classes. You will take a test such as the TOEFL for junior college, and we help you prepare for it.
Can I go NCAA or NAIA? What is the difference?
We help you find the division and the university that match your athletic and academic level. NCAA (D1, D2, D3), NAIA, NJCAA (junior colleges), high school and prep school — every league has its own rules, but all of them offer real opportunities to develop and earn a degree.
When should I start the process?
As early as possible — ideally 6 to 12 months before the school year starts. Coaches recruit in advance, and the earlier you are visible, the better your chances of landing a strong scholarship.
Where do students live once they arrive?
In the vast majority of cases, student-athletes live directly on campus, in apartments with a resident coach, or with a host family. That keeps them close to the courts, the classrooms and the other students. Some schools also offer supervised off-campus housing.
Do you follow up once students have arrived in the USA?
Absolutely. We stay in regular remote contact with every student to check that things are going well academically, athletically and administratively. And whenever we can, we travel out each year to visit some of our students on campus, attend their games and talk with them and their coaches. We stay present, even from thousands of miles away.
